Annual General Meeting
The 2014 AGM was held on the evening of Sunday 11th May 2014.Max opened the meeting at 8pm. There were no matters arising and all reports were read and accepted. As the committee was willing to stand again they were re-elected unopposed. The meetings closed at 8.15pm.Thanks go to Sam for taking the minutes
Flamborough May 2014
This was possibly one of the best weeks in recent years weather wise. The only rain we had was in the evenings or through the night except for the Saturday arrivals day when there were hailstones like tennis balls.
We did not have the use of the airfield this year so the onsite field was used and this worked very well. Thanks to Graham the grounds man for sorting out safety barriers etc. We intend to use it again in 2015.
The answer to the question how many planes did Dave take (not including mine or indoor models) was 56. The answer to how many of them did he actually fly was 46.
We again undertook most of our normal activities. This year the briefing was held on Saturday evening as this worked well this will now be the practice for future years. John Bicknell did a sterling job at the auction as always and also oversaw the Thornwick Challenge this year. Due to insufficient wind the Slope Combat contest could not be run. We had a boating evening on Tuesday and finished off with a buffet on Thursday.

FLAMBOROUGH SEPT 2014
The second holiday at Flamborough will take place from Saturday 6th to Saturday 13th September 2014.
There are a few places left and I can accept bookings up to 1st August provided they are accompanied by full payment. All facilities and arrangements and prices are the same as for the May holiday. Invoices have been sent out in the last week
Bookings have now closed for Devon
No amendments to any bookings can now be made as there are other groups and public bookings which are taking up all the rest of the units the dates are Fri 19th-Fri 26th Sept 2014.
Booking forms and info sheets for all 3 holidays in 2015 are now available
Flamborough 9th-16th May
Please note that all the allocation of 3 bedroom caravans has been taken so unless you reserved one with me whilst on the week this year you will not get one. The same goes for 6 berth chalets
Devon 18-25th September
The dates for Ladram have been confirmed as Fri 18th-Fri 25th Sept 2015 with the option of front rowers being able to extend to the Saturday and Sunday.
If you wish to extend I must know ASAP as there are other events going on at the camp which will overlap with ours and it may not be possible to do any last minute additions. If in doubt, book the extra days and they can be removed later rather than trying to do it the other way round.
MOST FRONT ROW UNITS ARE NOW SOLD OUT, we have a few 2 bed units on front row left and around 10 second row units left.
Bookings for Devon will close on 1st May 2015 , but if you wish to extend I must know before 1st Jan 2015 as that is when the new seasons bookings are opened up to the general public by the camp
Again due to the other events, I must now insist on deposits of £75 from everybody to ensure that we get the units we want
Again several of us will also be going down the week before for some additional days flying. If you wish to go for 2 weeks please let me know as we have negotiated some favorable rates for that week too. Invoices will be sent out by 1st May and are payable by 1st August.
FLAMBOROUGH SEPT 2015

There are places left so if interested please book ASAP. All facilities and arrangements and prices are the same as for the May holiday
Invoices will be sent out by 1st May 2015 and are payable by 1st August 2015.
Everything is as for the May holidays and info sheets and booking forms are now available or send me an e mail
A REMINDER FROM THE COMMITTEE
Please leave all flying sites in the manner in which you would wish to find them and take your litter and broken bits of planes away with you, there have been some incidents this year and it does not put the Association in a very good light.
Please also remember that the MAA week in May has no connection whatsoever to, and did not take over from, the now defunct Primrose Valley Modelers Week
If you have received this as a paper version and you have an e mail address please e mail me with it so I can add to the list and save on postage costs
