ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
This was held during the Flamborough week and in the absence of any nominations or items for discussion the committee was re-elected en masse. At this stage it is not proposed to increase the subs but a review will be taken next year
FLAMBOROUGH 2015 REPORT
This year was the last year under the present Thornwick management, the directors and shareholders having decided to retire, the company was sold to Bourne Leisure (Haven to you and me) at Easter. During the final evening get together, prize giving and buffet we were joined by the retiring MD, Steve Gibbon who presented the prizes and won several in the raffle! We made a presentation of gifts to Steve and flowers to his wife Helen (also one of the retiring directors) as a token of our appreciation for their help and support over the past 8 years we have been there.
I had a meeting with the incoming General Manager, David Eccles who is also the manager of Primrose Valley and (despite initial misgivings bearing in mind our previous dealings with Bourne) as far as possible it will be business as usual next year. He stated he is very pleased to have us on site, he has an interest in r/c planes and flying generally and that we add to the appeal of the site. He is also happy for us to fly on site. The only downside is that we will not be able to have the use of the nightclub for indoor flying or congregating, due to what will be ongoing alterations to the complex. He has however offered the use of the Caravel Bar just down the road on the North Landing which the camp also own for our sole use in the evenings. Depending on the length of time taken to alter the existing complex this may only be a temporary measure and we will be back in the main complex in 2017. I have the prices for 2016 and there has not been much of an increase although chalet dwellers (not Sea view or Bay view) may want to consider moving into one of the new 2 bed caravans as the chalets are to be priced at the same rate as the caravans and the caravans are far more modern with more facilities for the same money. I believe this falls in line with Havens pricing strategy.

The usual auction was held and this year saw more items than ever. Some were the models of the late Arthur Tiplady and £450 was raised on the night which will go to McMillan Nurses, there will be more added to this total as there are still a couple of items to sell.
A charity collection for the childrens charity that we support via John Bicknell also raised in the region of £500 so all in all a very generous night
The week was rounded off by the now traditional buffet
